Timber Block is proud to announce a new initiative that proves to be yet another innovative step ahead in the building industry with the launch of Timber Block’s Fast Track program.
What does “Fast Track” mean?
Essentially, the Fast Track program means exactly that. You can literally “Build Faster”! You can “fast-track” the design process, saving you plenty of time. It allows homeowners to “skip” steps in the traditional Timber Block process – predominantly, the architectural design process – and move straight to engineering.
What does this mean for the client?
“When you are able to eliminate this step, it allows you to get started on your build months earlier.”
Timber Block Project Director Annie LeBlanc says if you were to consider going ahead with the Fast Track program, there are certain discussions you would have to have with your Timber Block team. “Instead of filtering by ‘model’, you’re filtering by ‘needs’. This means knowing exactly what you want before even starting any part of the process. Examples include the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, the square footage, your foundation (crawl space, slab, walkout basement, etc). This way your Home Consultant and Project Manager will be able to help you choose among our already engineered homes that will check off all of the boxes on your wish list.”
Does using the Fast Track Program mean you can start your build in the next few months?
Team Leader of Timber Block’s Design Department Melissa Demers says absolutely, but there are certain things that the client has to have fully complete. “Your lot has to be purchased and prepared. You also have to know what type of home can actually ‘fit’ on your lot, you have a surveyor and you’ve done all the necessary steps involving the city you’re building in.” Melissa says there are 3 key elements that have to happen to make the Fast Track Program work for you. “It’s all about teamwork, communication, and being prepared.”
So how much time can actually be saved with the Fast Track Program? “If all the stars align and all of the necessary steps are fully complete, you could be saving up to 3-4 months from the traditional Timber Block Process,” says Annie.
